Two Shell drop new UK funky-leaning single ‘Smile’
Two Shell are stepping further into their new era with their latest release, ‘Smile’, a groove-laden, tech house and UK funky-leaning track overlaid with a pitched-up vocal chant, first debuted during their secret set at Glastonbury’s Babylon Uprising last year.
The new single follows the recent release of ‘The Nightmare’, which also saw them head into a new direction from their usual glitchy, hyperpop-adjacent sound.

Om Unit lands on Local Action with new EP ‘Oracles’
Om Unit is following up his collaborative release with James Bangura on Local Action with his first solo release on the label.
The five-track EP ‘Oracles’ is out on April 14, with the title inspired by the UK OG finding inspiration in meeting new people and their ideas for life, love and creativity.
Sounds explored include spectral grime, jungle, classic techno and ’00s clubbing in London.

Fire-Toolz signs to Warp Records for debut album
Angel Marcloid is releasing her debut album as Fire-Toolz via Warp Records in May.
The 10-track LP ‘Lavender Networks’ blends an array of sounds and styles, spanning cybergrind and metalcore to IDM and post-vaporwave.
Artists featured as collaborators include Zola Jesus, Brothertiger, Naliah Hunter, Lipsticism, Jennifer Holm and Sling Beam.

Interlink Records to release debut V/A compilation
A new various artists compilation, ‘Interlink Volume 1’, is coming out via Interlink Records on Apr 17.
Aimed at “connecting legendary innovators of the UK’s forward thinking club sound with the new wave of the underground”, the 11-track release features London stalwarts such as Oneman, Sumgii and Martelo and Bristol favourites Ghost Phone, Guido and Gemmy.
There’s also contributions from label founder Yves Thomas, Lily London, Ronnie Loko, Don Ravo and Zeen, spanning hazy spoken word, jittery club and ghetto house.

Nia Archives shares new single ‘Danger’
Embracing hedonism and womanhood, Nia Archives details what its like the be in your mid-20s on new single ‘Danger’, which was released via Island Records on Friday (March 27).
Released alongside a visualiser from Claryn Chong, ‘Danger’ is said to mark a “bold new direction” for Archives. Speaking on the track, Nia Archives said: “It’s definitely an X-rated tune, I really pushed that side – I’ve never even sworn in my music.”
“But it’s a part of love… or of lust… that people get a bit scared to talk about.” she continues. “Being in your mid-20s, you’re figuring out who you are, exploring your sexuality… I think people kind of get stuck in girlhood, but really and truly, I’m 26 and I feel like I’m entering womanhood.”

deBasement team up with Nikki Nair for new track ‘Aftermarket Bass’
Los Angeles-based queer duo deBasement, AKA Alli Logout and Margo XS, have teamed up with Atlanta speed king Nikki Nair for a brand new single ‘Aftermarket Bass’ which landed via Real Life Music / Future Classic on March 25.
Having been teased during the artist’s recent sets, the kaleidoscopic club tune features pumping bass, deep vocals and searing percussion, primed for rowdy dancefloor rinsing.

Beatrice M. announces debut album ‘Sinking’
Paris-based bass aficionado and BAIT label head Beatrice M. has shared details of their debut album, ‘Sinking’, which will land via Tectonic Recordings on June 5.
The 11-track project, which will be available via digital download and triple pack vinyl, will feature collaborations with Sir Hiss, Jay Carder, Jinnal and Kaba.
‘Sinking has been teased with atmospheric lead single ‘Disco Corner’, which sees the producer fold decadent low-end synths through ricocheting minimal percussion.

Donato Dozzy announces new imprint with inaugural release from Anna Caragnano
Christening his newly-minted imprint Nautilus Musica, Donato Dozzy has shared the first single to be released via the new imprint from Italian vocalist Anna Caragnano, ‘ORAE’.
Said to be the first single from Caragnano’s forthcoming album ‘Tamburi’, which will debut on May 10, the operatic-tinged track has also been produced and arranged by Dozzy.
