It appears that that the family of one of the police officers accused in the murder of George Floyd is attempting to crowdfund his $1 million bail. The crowdfunding site appears to provide the officer’s factual defense: that he was 4 days out of training and pleaded with the others to roll Mr. Floyd over so he could breathe.
The officer is charged with, according to PopCulture, “aiding and abetting second-degree murder and aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter.”

Rather than going to one of the charity crowdfunding sites like GoFundMe which has, in the past, taken down such pleas, the family has started its own page seeking financial help.
It is using PayPal to process donations, although the email address of the recipient is unclear as to the actual recipient. Folks on Twitter have taken PayPal to task over its use in this request.
