The first topic at hand is the fish itself. After that we’ll get to how to catch one.

About The Ancient Kraken

The Ancient Kraken is a Secret fish, an even rarer variant of the Exotic Kraken creature.

It has the following preferences.

  • Preferred Seasons: None
  • Preferred Time: Night
  • Preferred Weather: None
  • Preferred Bait: Truffle Worm

Ancient Krakens are extremely heavy, weighing upwards of 20,000kg.

How To Catch An Ancient Kraken

Ancient Krakens only appear in Kraken Hunts during the Poseidon’s Wrath event. What does that mean? Let’s break it down.

Kraken Hunts are a bit like Megalodon Hunts in Ancient Isle, with one big difference. You can only access them once you unlock Kraken Pool, through opening the big gate at the bottom of the central pool in the main area. You can unlock this by solving the Mythological Clock puzzles in the other areas, turning the clocks to match the symbol of each god described.

Once you have access to the Kraken Pool, you should get notified when there’s a Kraken around. Once you know it’s there you have a chance to go catch it, though keep in mind just like Megalodons, you’re competing against everyone else fishing there.

Ancient Krakens appear only during the Poseidon’s Wrath event, so when someone has used the Poseidon’s Wrath totem recently. It’s a pretty expensive totem, and there’s no guarantee that you’ll actually get a Kraken event, so you might be waiting a while. Or maybe you’ll get super lucky.
