Deadlock lead developer, Yoshi, recently shared an update about the game’s next Major Update. Here’s what to expect next from Deadlock based on the update.
Deadlock Major Update pushed, balance changes coming
On July 24, in the Deadlock Discord server, the game’s lead developer posted an update for the community on the state of the game’s next Major Update. The post claimed that the update needs “Some time still” and that the team is fully committed to working on it.
Yoshi also told players that devs would give a more specific timeline on what updates would come, confirmed the addition of new heroes, a Shiv nerf, and said that a balance update will be coming soon. You can catch a full breakdown of what was said on our Deadlock YouTube channel, Dead Unlocked.

When is the next Deadlock Major Update?
As of right now, we do not know when exactly another Deadlock update will come, but our best guess is in August or September of 2025, according to what we heard from devs. We will provide updates as we know more.
